Every single piece of our Rising Phoenix and EarthenSilk™ products are hand cut by a master tailor. Hand cutting clothing is a lost art in today’s clothing manufacturing because it is too time consuming and economically costly. However, it is essential in producing silk clothing that has spirit and life. We insist in hand cutting and piecing our clothing together by a person. Every button, embroidery, and detail is handmade.

For example, each mandarin buttons are hand made and hand sewn. Majority of the mandarin buttons you see in market today are machine produced. These buttons are meticulously sewn on, following specifications given the size, quality, and high number of stitches we demand for each button. Making and sewing high quality mandarin buttons is a dying skill, even in China. It is extremely time consuming and labor intensive. Same principles apply to the impeccable trim/piping work both inside and outside of each piece. We care about details of our apparel in places where people often do not see.

When each product is completed, our tailors their put their initials next to the sizing and labels. We are proud of what we make because every piece is custom handmade and unique. Each of us show our commitment in putting our name in every piece of apparel that we produce.
